The family business De Bakker was founded by the father and his brother in 1961 and is now run by the three sons Marcel, Jos and Richard. Jointly they have built up and expanded a beautiful company over the years. At its location in Wateringen loose tomatoes have been cultivated since 1988, today on an overall surface of 3.5 hectares.

Working method
The working method is traditional and has proven its reliability: planting is done around the turn of the year, then pinching takes place and in November it is all over again. De Bakker grows its products in a gas-friendly manner, while disease control is conducted biologically as much as possible.
